Opened to the public on June 6, 2000, the 56th anniversary of D-Day, the National World War II Museum is a dynamic educational resource, housing comprehensive, world-class historical collections and exhibitions. The museum includes total four sections with entirely different exhibits like permanent exhibits, temporary exhibits, electronic exhibits and more. All the exhibits including variety of artifacts, testimonies and documents in the Museum are related to the World War II period and tell more than an American story by covering the complete war from the first shots in 1914 to the last attempts at peace in 1919. Besides, there are two movies screened several times daily in Malcolm S. Forbes Theater of the museum. Due to the excellent historic exhibits of the museum, today USA has ranked it asthe “Best Places to Learn U.S. Military History”.
